More than 200 people from the community attended the inauguration day.
The fountain includes five taps, two water tanks, and one electric pump to serve the community of approx. 1000 people.
Children and the elderly expressed their relief of having clean water flowing in the village.
With about $8,000, we can build the next manual water fountain in another rural area. Let's join forces and make it happen!
With an outbreak of cholera in Cameroon declared by the World Health Organization, the need for clean and safe drinking water is crucial and urgent. The impact of providing a water fountain includes: reduced incidents of water-borne illnesses, less school drop-out, enhanced overall well-being and community empowerment communities. Moreover, supplying these communities with clean and safe drinking water promotes economic development as healthier populations can be more productive.
